Welcome ...

Welcome to The Heritage Foundation – The World of Entertainment working for a World of Good Causes.

The Heritage Foundation evolved from Comic Heritage founded in 1994 to its current form at the turn of the millennium. Its aim is to pay tribute to Britain’s wealth of talent who have either brought or continue to bring pleasure and joy to millions of people worldwide, through their performances or technical skills in entertainment and sport. This is accomplished by holding a number of commemorative events throughout the year while simultaneously raising money for good causes through our charity ‘The Arts and Entertainment Charitable Trust’. These events include erecting permanent memorials, tribute luncheons and dinners and concerts. We could not achieve our objectives without the continued support of a large number of people from the world of show business and all of you out there who so generously contribute to our work by way of attending our events or making donations for which we are most grateful. David, individually and together with Jimmy Perry OBE and Jeremy lloyd, donated so much time and labour into the craft of creating laughter across the nation and the world.

Harry Fowler MBE 1926 - 2012

It was with great sadness that we learnt yesterday of the death of our good friend Harry Fowler.

I first met Harry and his wife Kay, twenty years ago through the late Alfred Marks. During those twenty years Harry was always a great supporter. I will miss him dearly and in particular his great sense of humour.

Our thoughts and love go to his wife Kay at this sad time.

A Big Thank You

A message from our President - Robin Gibb CBE.

Dated December 2011

Robin would like to say how proud he has been to be President of The Heritage Foundation and to make the following statement.

To honour so many deserving recipients of plaques and tribute dinners has been an honour. I particularly would like to thank David Graham and The Heritage Foundation for originally spearheading The Bomber Command Campaign. David Graham’s unceasing determination to realize The Bomber Command Memorial was so crucial in the earlier days of the campaign when we faced challenges and a certain amount of opposition.

Unfortunately I have been unable to attend many of the events this year due to illness but as a Patron, I look forward to many more years supporting you all. I look forward to seeing you again next year and in the meantime, I wish you all a very happy Christmas.
