HERITAGE SUMMER BALL & AWARDS 2009

The Heritage Foundation Summer Ball and Awards took place at the Millennium Hotel, Mayfair on Saturday the 20th June in the presence of President Robin Gibb CBE. Hosted by David Jensen, the evening began with a lavish dinner followed by the presentation of special awards to the Heritage Foundation Team in recognition of their continued had work for the cause. Special awards were also made to Chairman David Graham and Dave Most. This year’s Heritage Gold Awards were awarded to John Challis and Sue Holderness with a Lifetime achievement Award presented to Leslie Phillips CBE OBE.

Musical entertainment for the evening came from Bill Wyman and his Rhythm Kings and Robin Gibb with a tribute to Dave Most sung by Lou Jordan. Comedy was provided by Joe Goodman and Mark Perry.

Celebrity guests present included Ivan Kaye, David Ross, Peter Hepplethwaite, Kaplan Kaye, Jean Fergusson, Anne Charleston, Tracy Edwards MBE, PJ Proby, Burt Kwouk, Philip Madoc, Sally Farmiloe, Frank Williams, Nicholas Courtney, Harry Landis, Gordon Peters, Sue Upton, Liz Brewer, Chas McDevitt and Avril Gaynor.

Money raised from the celebrity auction and raffle were donated to The Bomber Command Memorial Appeal Fund.
